Pranburi is a quiet beach town.
Pranburi is a quiet beach town. It has one part which is slightly busier along the Dolphin Bay Hotel area, with more restaurant options, shops and a nicer beach, but not overwhelming. The other part is quieter and still developing but has some very nice resorts. It is impossible not relax. Lots of beach space for kids to play.

Pran Buri, is the town.
Pran Buri, is the town. The beach front area is known as 'Pak Nam Pran'. Quieter and more relaxed than Hua-Hin and Cha-Am, it's both a bit further from Bangkok and slightly better value. There are not the same range of restaurants, bars or other tourists facilities as the previously mentioned resort areas, but there is good food to be had, and some decent resorts.

We booked for 3 days to be near Kuri Buri national park to go on elephant safari which was amazing! Not sure I would want to holiday there for long period. The locals need to clean up the beach from rubbish, as it could be really beautiful.

We stayed in a small bungalow, very clean and comfy, with a huge bathroom. The fridge was an unexpected plus. We had a decent breakfast in a restaurant belonging to a neighboring resort as Saenghiran Beach Resort's own restaurant was closed that day - the rice soup was very tasty.
